Choosing A Case Study

What I would like is the following, which can be done on one sheet of paper.
A) TYPES OF SOCIETIES on the frontier
1) those between different societies who are organized as states;
2) those between states and nonstate societies on the other;
3) those between societies, non of which are states [although the term "frontier" is not often used for these].B) time frame for the frontier :
1) recent or twentieth century frontiers;
2) not recent, but "modern" frontiers, that is from about 1500 CE through the 19th century;
3) ancient frontiers, those that existed before 1500 CE.
You MAY do this in two parts: The type of frontier for Feb 9th, then specific frontier for Feb 16. If you do this in two parts answer 3 & 5 BOTH times.
